The two voices in our head
The good and the bad wolves
We all have at least watched once a cartoon where the
protagonist talks to his inner conscience and suddenly he is surrounded by two
beings one signifying good(peace) and the other signifying bad(anger, generally
depicted in red).
Let me tell you this really happens! Yes science and
religion has proved and said that this type of behaviour exists in us.
So, ok we have two voices in us which helps us to
choose or take decisions in life. But who do you always listen to?
I personally feel like I have two sides in me, one is
the good, the kind, who respects elders and women, polite, soft, SANE(I’ll talk
about this word in detail in a later blog). Whereas the other one is harsh,
egoistic, violent, judgmental , abusive
, whose mind is indulged in sex/violence.
Now there are people who are bad, whether their
conditioning ruined them or it’s their natural response, they do bad things,
and anything they do their bad motive finds a way to show.
Like a person who is corrupt, takes bribe is bound to
disrespect women too, because he is bound to listen to his bad wolf.
Now according to religious texts, we all have two
wolves in us. One is bad( the bad wolf is attractive and because of it’s looks
we think that it is good) and the other one is good(this one is old, boring and
you feel to ignore him).
Taking bribe and disrespecting women are two different
things but as this person is bad , his mind automatically listens to all the
bad wolf’s decisions.
Like choosing to staying in bed rather than working in the gym is when your mind is following your bad wolf's decision.
Most people listen to their bad wolf's decisions and later regret that. Because it requires inner strength, self control(what is self control and who are people who have it the most,we'll talk on this later) and courage to choose the right wolf.
