Bhuul Bhulaiya Review

Bhuul Bhulaiya 2 came out on 20th May. This blog will tell you should you watch this  movie or not. What can you expect from the movie? Is it made for you?

Technically, as per bollywood’s track record of making remake movies. People have lost hopes. Most fans where disappointed when the news came that they are replacing Akshay Kumar in the franchise. People thought that no other actor can replace him and also with the new cast, there were less chances of Bhuul Bhulaiya 2 being a hit.

Even after the criticism for the movie and the past of Bollywood making bad movies I, wanted to give this movie a fare chance. Even though a new actor cannot replace old maestros (Akshay sir, in this case) but they sure can carve a separate place for themselves in our hearts. So, I watched the movie.

If you are someone who enjoys Cringe comedy or embraces to watch celebrities dance or enjoys a medium plot with little plot twists and mystery. You should definitely go and watch the movie. But if you are expecting it to be as good as Bhuul Bhulaiya 1 or to be another Jem of Bollywood, please don’t watch it. Because the movie is decent and mediocre not very good. Watch Dhakkad movie instead.

Honestly, it is not a disaster movie, nor is a masterpiece like Bhuul Bhulaiya. There are some scenes which scares us. An okay story plot, and decent actors. The movie is made to follow the same path as Bhuul Bhulaiya 1,  same song( Ami Je Tomar, which scares the shit out of us).

Coming to the comedy part which was most significant(as the first part had great humour). There were Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra, who made us laugh genuinely at some scenes. However, comedy was cringe in some scenes too.

The songs were all useless except, Ami Je Tomar and Hare Ram Hare Krishna, of course (because those were nostalgic). So , just survive the songs.

Now, talking about some spoilers of the movie and how I felt after watching them.(You can leave reading here if you don't want to get spoilers). Spoilers won't affect much anyway.

The first scene where some Hawan and all was taking place, made me realize that this movie is not the same as it idolizes a ghost, whereas in Bhuul Bhulaiya there was no actual ghost just mental unstability. The following scenes, where Kartik and Kiara meet and then song and then they both go to haveli, all this time you just have to hold on(it is boring but important for the plot). Then watching Rajpal Yadav reprise the role of chote pandit(genuinely smiled after seeing him, and saying ‘Sena laut chuki hai’ and ‘paani’ in my mind).

Then the part where Bhabhi tells us about Manjulika, her story was interesting. After that since manjulika got free, it was obvious for us that every night something is gonna happen in the Haweli. Then the plot twist at the end was amazing(not expecting such thing to happen). In my mind I was just thinking( she even killed the Tantric now how are we gonna trap her again or are we going to fulfil her wish again like Bhuul Bhulaiya).
